Today’s young professionals often don’t realize the capacity they have to do a lot of good. Wake Up and Dream aspires to make a better connection, encouraging community involvement by promoting the idea that giving back can be easy and fun!

While many in Washington, DC work diligently to solve the world’s problems, there are many issues of equal importance right here in our own backyard. By focusing on matters that affect our local community, metro area residents can have a greater impact.

Wake Up and Dream events fund tangible projects that improve the community and the lives of those within it. Whether feeding a holiday dinner to low-income families, providing after-school tutoring program scholarships to public school kids, or reviving a polluted park or water supply, all WUAD events make a real and noticeable impact.

Wake up and Dream has no paid staff, no office, and relies on the generosity of the community for equipment and supplies. Since WUAD relies on a 100% volunteer team to accomplish its goals, nearly 100% of all donations are used to fulfill its mission.
